Insurance for Carers working in the Community
This is a specialist insurance policy that has been designed for carers who provide care and support into individuals own homes within the community.

The policy offers £5million limit of indemnity for:
• Errors & omissions (any neglect error or omission in administering prescribed / non-prescribed
medicines)
• Alleged Abuse Cover
• Cover to include temporary visits abroad whilst working
• Liability arising out of the supply or preparation of food & drink
• Joint indemnity cover for either local authorities or clients (in the event of being liable as a
result of your actions)
• Automatic defence costs in respect of prosecution under the Health & Safety at Work 1974 |

What the Policy Covers:
• Accidental death or personal injury to any person
• Cover in respect of administering prescribed / non-prescribed medicines
• Accidental loss or damage to third party property (subject to a £100 excess) |

This Policy is designed to cater for the following services:
| Personal Care – Bathing / Dressing, Night Care, Administering Prescribed / Non-prescribed Medicines, Carers Respite Service, Cleaning, Cooking, Household Tasks, Shopping & Laundry, Handyman & Gardening Services, Companionship & Support |

Standard Annual Premium £84.80 (inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax).
This policy is a twelve month contract therefore the premium is a minimum and deposit.
